Telling him to just click on it is completely missing the point that he was having issues with that. In the Disk Utility app on your Mac, choose Images > Convert, select the disk image file you want to convert, then click Open. AnyBurn will start converting the DMG file to ISO format, and showing the conversion progress. Select the source DMG file, and select the destination image file type to ISO format. The point being made was that there is a technical difference in the two formats that was causing your solution not to work. Run AnyBurn, and click 'Convert image files'.
